For anyone who remembers, up until that time in 1980, the KISS Tour of Australia was the biggest tour of Australia since Abba a couple of years previously, and only the Beatles in 64 before that. In November of 1980, the masked marauders were all over the newspapers, TV etc etc. Gene couldn’t adjust his wig without it being headline news. The media had an absolute field day. Before the bands first Australian concert at Perth, the band were privileged to have a visit from the great DK Lillee, armed with his trusty machine gun logod aluminum bat.
